Exciting Role: This is a new role to support the Friends of the RUH (FRUH) Retail Manager, ensuring the best services to our customers, patients and those important to them. Your role will be a combination of front of house and supporting our retail manager in running our two retail outlets, the Friends of the RUH Shop and The Café at B18, both located at the Royal United Hospital (RUH).
About Us: The Friends of the RUH was founded in 1957 by volunteers, including Margaret Berry (Dame Mary Berry’s mother), to support the hospital. Over the years, we have expanded our services to include assisting patients on wards and across the hospital, maintaining public spaces, and tending to the hospital’s gardens.
The role is 37.5 hrs per week, annual salary £29,350 per annum from 1st April 2025 plus 35 days a year holiday including bank holidays and an employment benefits package.
Our Status: We are an independent organisation, not a department of the hospital. We are governed by the Charity Commission and hold Charitable Incorporated Organisation status.
