Ward Volunteer

Home Volunteering Roles Ward Volunteer

Our Ward Volunteer roles are at the heart of the comfort and support we provide to the patients at the RUH. While the role varies across wards, you may be asked to provide refreshments to patients, support with menu cards, assist in helping with visitors and generally being a friendly face for patients to talk to.

There are Ward volunteers across the hospital including in our older people, outpatients and specialist wards.

Please note we do not have volunteers in any of the Children’s Wards.

Current wards with availability for volunteers are:

  • Helena Ward
  • Older Persons Assessment Unit (OPAU)
  • Waterhouse Ward
